Going to update this post in the comments like yesterday and then put it together at the end of the day.
Didn't sleep at all due to playing HORSE until 6AM, but I discovered that the gas station across the street does sell Red Bull. (THANK YOU JEBUS) There really won't be much "news" today, but today is where all the tourneys heat up, including CGS finals, SC finals, and the WoW 5v5 finals. Regardless of how cynical a bastard I may be concerning CGS and the WoW tournament, I'll be there having a good time. ^^
One small note because I saw it on mmo-champ and people are asking: The five man instance in WLK is definitely playable, but they just take like the front 5 of the line at a time when you set up to play which pretty much means you'll never have the right group composition. I saw Blizzcon staff running around the main area looking for people to run the new 5man, but honestly, there seemed to be very little interest. Even if Dep and Aesthyr transfered their characters (Dep quit during AQ, Aesthyr rerolled from Mano to Korean servers when he moved), that would still leave the three of us with three mages, not exactly optimal for grouping. Since I'd rather not spend hours pugging some buggy and boring 5man, I've decided to ignore that nonsense, but it isn't a "press only" thing. The lack of information is just due to it being difficult to find groups and people wanting to do other things instead of pug. (Though you do see plenty of LF Tank spam)

I really don't get the jeans shorts plus black t shirt thing. It makes so many of these guys look sickeningly pale and overweight, whereas if they dressed as a normal human, they wouldn't stand out as weird at all. Like if you're going to wear that much black, at least do the lipstick, spiked choker, and cut yourself. I am not expecting cats to be blinged out in IRL epics, but you don't got to be baller to not dress like a total slimeball. What's worse is that the weird but somewhat cute but too pale bloodelf dressed girl is an object of derision to most everbody (perhaps myself included), but at the end of the day her costume comes off (heh) while a lot of these guys are stuck cosplaying weirdo forever. And I am really not trying to be condescending douchebag guy, as I bet a lot of these guys are only in 'geek mode' because its a video game convention, but games aren't really counter-culture as much as this scene plays them out to be. Then again, I walk around like it drags on the floor and give every motherfucker around me my tough guy scare 'cuz I know, I fucking know that I could kick every single one of their asses...in a duel.
It REALLY isn't my style, but I am going to professions panel instead of waiting in sc2 line. I think I really don't have the patience to stand in line for shit as much as most people. Back when I used to PvE, this panel would have interested me, but that feels so long ago. Now I just view all this stuff bitterly as advantages will have over me or potential I'll never realize. That isn't to say I hate the idea of PvE in theory-- I miss playing with my friends, miss the late night strat discussions, the race for world firsts, and the damage meter epeen. The problem was that in PvE the ONLY progression became gear. I wasn't getting better. Maybe I understood game mechanics slightly better after Naxx, but for the most part, my individual skill never improved from those early days in MC where I was the first to wear full frozen wrath gear and chug deviates to get fast cast. As far as encounter complexity, nothing really felt as epic as twin emps.

I think that panel was on livestream so I don't really have much to add. Played a round of sc2 with dep against aesthyr and some guy they been playing with. Zealot rushed us and then went fast DK. Fucking cool bro; I was teching up banshees since M&Ms just rip through vespene too much to pump while teching.
Caught the end of a warrior/Druid vs rogue/priest match where the rogue team won by outdamaging the Druid's heals; I don't really understand the match that well but the Druid should really have cycloned the rogue instead of trying to HT spam. Rogue team was nothingspecial, the war/Druid was rapidflame.

Rapidflame wins with lock/priest over SpanishMafia Druid/priest. Rapidflame priest is very good. SpanishMafia Druid made too many mistakes and his lock could not get UA out reliably. Rematch nothingspecial vs rapidflame in EU finals. Let's see who they run.

When the WC3 was asked to cheer for their fav game, SC was exponentially louder than WC3 or WoW. The SC fever is HOT here. I'VE GOT A FEVER AND THE ONLY MEDICINE IS MORE COWBELL.. err SC.
For the EU finals, rapidflame decided to run war/Druid against spriest/rogue... and got their face melted round one in less than 30 seconds.
And in round two, nothingspecial killed rapidflame druid in less than 10 seconds, but since rapidflame warrior DC'd, match is being replayed. Extremely bullshit, the game was over.
There are some valid compaints on how the big monitors are from the Druid's perspective negating his stealth. I agree, we should be in a non-stealth perspective. Nothingspecial will win this anyways...
