Granted this is irrelevant for most people who actually read my words.
Get a medium-high rated team. (Say 2k) Your personal rating is still base 1500. Invite power-leveling char to that team -- he's also 1500.
You face 1500 terribads. You win. Your personals go up. The team doesn't move. You repeat a few times facing 1500-1600 bracket baddies. Both personals hit 1650ish. Maybe you lose one or two and tank the team to 1900s.
Power level char leaves team and rejoins. He's back to 1500. Your average PR is penis low and you are back to queueing against 1500 scrubs. You farm them again. Power leveler quits team and rejoins to reset again. Rinse and repeat.
This won't get you to 2200 for the shoulders, but any retards can farm the absolute lowest bracket up pretty high now -- at least high enough for the honor pieces and perhaps weapons.

As for the UI -- I just switched to playing in widescreen, but I'll post up a SS when I get on later tonight with how things look and if there's demand, I'll zip the pack. I actually use a pretty small set of mods.

Season Four Gear Setup
Okay, so here's how you do week one:
Neck: Guardian's Pendant of Subjugation 15.3k 10eots
Cloak: Arcane Alacrity 60badges
Bracers: Guardian's 11.794k 20wsg
Belt: Guardian's 17.85k 40ab
Boots: Guardian's 17.85k 40eots
Ring 1: Guardian's Band of Subjugation 15.3k 10av
Ring 2: Guardian's Band of Dominance 15.3k 10av
Trinket: New Medallion 40k
Assuming you buy the new PvP trinket and Haste Cloak now:
93394 honor, 50av, 20wsg, 40ab, 40 eots
If you come in capped at 75000, you still need 18394 more honor. At 314 per repeatable token daily, you need 59 of each token to cap the honor, but you'd be short on AV tokens.
Best you can do is:
100av tokens + 9 in your mailbox, 79 wsg tokens, 99 ab, 99eots
Repeat the quest 59 times and you have all your honor. Buy everything. Be happy.
Alternatively, you can complete a PvP daily and simply not turn in the quest until after you've spent some honor. Or you can not care and just buy what you can and touch up what's needed because honor is instant now.
If you want the Battlemaster's Alacrity, kill yourself because that's a lot more honor.
For your Arena gear:
Obviously you are capped at 5k. You can either ticket a GM to refund your throwing weapon or not. ^^
Assuming you don't sploit, the best you can do is MH + Gloves. Not too exciting.
If you exploit the 'return the throwing dagger', the best you can really do is MH + chest unless you're willing to wait on the haste MH and pick up some weird shit like head, chest, gloves, and new offhand.
The throwing dagger payoff if you opt for MH+chest doesn't really show until your third week. Even then, it's minor. Probably more worth it for melee.
I plan on rocking the new spell pen OH and wand which should put you at 97 spell pen. (I really like the flexibility in killing felhunters)

Don't Get Up, You're Banned
Chances are, if you aren't currently banned, you will be soon. Otherwise, you're bad. Or lazy. We ran into some point buyers last night and had to actually stop queueing for fear of repercussions. I wasn't afraid personally. I fear nothing. Except loneliness. It's cold and dark without you. Damp. Reeks of urine. I can hear Adama's voice -- he's unhappy with me. I swear I did nothing wrong!
Regardless of your state of banned-ness, I bet you're excited for today's patch. The Scare Beast patch. The end of the no-hunter era. Or not, who knows. Too bad the instacast version didn't make it live. Kind of like, "Too bad I don't have syphilis." With season 4 items patched in, the season cannot be far off. A month, maybe? With Blizzcon set for October 10th, we can probably assume that the tournaments there will come at the new season's conclusion. Fives or threes? I'm betting they'll try fives again. Remember when I said that I thought you'd be excited about today's patch? That was sarcasm.
On the Blizzcon topic, I don't get what the point is this year. I would hope that WotLK will be well into it's Beta by October -- of course, Blizzard does miraculously disappoint with its lack of rapidity in accomplishing anything. Are they going to show off more SC2? Is the plan to begin promoting the retail release of WotLK while providing some more SC2 info before that beta starts? Diablo III? I don't really care. I'll go and blog and make fun of people. Because I need the attention. Because of the aforementioned loneliness.
Stormstrike has long been the battlegroup of Cleave. Season one, in fives, we had the highest number of high ranked double warrior teams. Season two saw similar double warrior success. Season three has tons of high ranked tripple melee teams in fives, and there's a significant number of double physical deeps in 3s. In BG5, we embrace the cleave. Can't kick or pummel a poly but think you still deserve to win? BG5 could be your new home. Right click and dream. I can't picture how cleave will become less dominant in the foreseeable future. With season four gear and weapons from the end bosses in Sunwell coming to an arena near you (well S4 weapons actually, not so much the Sunwell weapons), the future doesn't look bright for cloth. Hi2u warlocks and shadow priests. You like dying during intercept stun? OUTPLAYED. Haste gear will probably help a tiny bit, and RMP is generally strong against physical teams, so who knows what the end result will be.
For whoever was asking me via in-game mail how I used to spec for 33/28: Here. Sorry for the delay. ^^

FairKnight
Well, I'm back. Dubai was tall. Full of sort-of cute girls and bankers. With tie bars. Smashing Pumpkins was playing at every bar and club. And I don't even care to shake these zipper blues.
I spent more time in the air than on the ground. Quite literally. That's not some metaphor for being high. It's a simple statement about time spent. Too much flying. Not enough boozing. This isn't a travel fucking blog though so I'll go no further.
I'm not sure how many of you care or are aware that CNN has wisely decided to start printing T-Shirts with some of their headlines upon them. The shirts are pretty simple AA shirts; I'm still waiting for the "right" headline. Can't get mad -- it was on the news!* This one isn't bad though.
* I don't mean to imply that what's on CNN is, any fucking way, actual news. And that isn't some hippie anti-media bullshit; it's just how it is.
I wish my prom night involved hand cuffs. I actually didn't go to prom. Well, my prom at least. True story. No, it's not because I was fat. My whore girlfriend at the time broke up with me last second and I was too emo to find a replacement. Scarred for life.
Has anyone checked out Bai Ling's left nipple? Scary. NSFW if you aren't allowed to look at nipples at your job. Thank god I don't have your job. How's Nazi Germany working out for you?** Yes, she was already in playboy. Very stereotypically furry. Still, there's something about laser beam nipples.
I came back to read that all of my complaints about WoW PvP had been addressed. Into one class. The FairKnight. Yeah, that's right. I'm complaining about it already. Imagine the fucking cleave possibilities! In other WoW news, Ming-a-ling is supposed to be back. I can't wait for the GameRiot wedding night play-by-play.
