I apologize. Most of my more recent articles have been SERIOUS BUSINESS beta emo whining. There's been some I HAVE NOBODY TO PLAY WITH ON MY MAGE whines, but seriously, not even I care. I've been playing priest more seriously this season (I've been gladiator every season but lol gladiator), and will probably begin talking about more priest-y topics as I don't really play my mage. (I plan on playing my mage in WotLK...depending on if I have a good PvP crew)
Going from mage to priest is like learning to settle for uglier girls. Yeah, you wouldn't fraps that shit and brag to your friends, but insert a joke about outlasting and well, fuck it..
Anyways, until recently, I've played mostly 2346 on my priest because, well, it's easy and sorta fun and you can be pretty downs and still win. Mindless manaburn spamming mixed with gheal drinking if games run long. And while Eurocomp is supposed so shit all over 2346 by mindlessly zerging our lock, generally cleave teams are more challenging. Either way, it definitely feels like you can get carried like (double bagged) groceries in 5s as a priest. But that might be true for most classes...
This season, I run Priest/Mage on my priest. After a little over a week and not that many, but very many very long, but not very many overall games, we hit 2200. Shoulders. Oh my god. The sign of a PvP god.
"Let's queue one more anyways."
"Aight."
Priest/Lock
"Cool Bro."
Twenty five minutes later.-22 Rating
"Fuck, wait a sec then queue." Wait, wait, wait. QUEUE.
Priest/Lock
""I TOLD YOU NOT TO QUEUE"
"No, u said to wait a sec"
"NO I DIDNT U FUCKING TOOLBAG"
"Tools come in boxes. They have little handles."
"YOUR A TOOL THAT CAME FROM A MOM. WHEREAS I CAME IN YM. "
"You're a dum slave."

After doing the above three more times, we gave up for the night. RADIKAL CANT GET SHOULDERS ON HIS PRIEST.
Priest/Mage is pretty fun because the games are so fast. Yup, fast. So fucking quick. Not boxers, them shits briefs. Speedy. Never any need to drink. Some matchups are basically impossible: priest/lock, priest/hunter, priest/rogue. Druid/lock and druid/rogue I feel like we should seldom win, but there are some BAD druids who love the feel of mana burn all over their nelf face. Smite rips felhunters (no holy resists), but you still need some assistance from your mage, and if the lock is a total nerdfag with void star, it's sometimes impossible to kill the pet.
I frapsed most of our games from 1900-2200 which I might release as a semi-joke vid, but I'm going to wait till closer to wrath to release it. (For reasons obvious to some...) It's not like I'm any good at priest, but I haven't really frapsed anything else aside from some duels on way back on TR. And like more than half of those are me dueling as DB. Nobody wants to watch my dragon's bad vid I know.
I did land the world's most devastating mind control of all time last night which is hopefully in the footage somewhere. Fear druid->pain hunter->run up mind control->mage crits hunter for a billion midcast->druid trinkets->druid NS->MC lands->druid NSs himself->LOL) True the druid waited literally 5 seconds to trinket, but well, he's a druid.
We played a few games against a very unusual comp. Full Boomkin/Disc Priest. Unusual to me at least. They beat us pretty easily every game as we weren't ever able to get good burst, nor could we win the mana war. I'm not really sure we were playing it right as we kept trying to burst down the druid, but thinking about it more, we could probably extend the game a lot with good use of spellsteal and dispel and maybe win the long game. Nasty CC chains too.
It's a little hard to win against teams like that because we generally wear gear nonoptimal for it. I use Battlemaster's always because I'm bad and die against shaman/war teams without it, and my mage uses mind quickening which, while good for burst, doesn't help much when trying to run two mana users oom. The fact that the priest and druid never leave whatever pillar they're next to doesn't help. >.<
BUT YES I DO STILL PLAY THIS GAME KTHX

You are funny, insightful, flexible, romantic and baby prone.
o godmage, you have forsaken us and joined the side of a hated enemy. you are not the hokage of the mage class the way ming sama is for rogues.
priest is pretty simple compared to mage, there's no doubt about that
priest is a mage's best friend.
pm is pathetic, go full arcane with an spriest and you'll have a video I'll dl to put myself on cap
MY main's a mage and whenever I play my druid and see mage/x (x not being rogue) I call "free win INC" in vent. Water elem up? HOG THAT PILLAR BRO! For extra gayness I keep 3x lifeblooms (sometimes even rejuv if i'm way ahead in mana) rolling even when my partner is full HP so that small chance they might get a good burst going goes down to 0.
Sometimes I truly hate my mage in 2s, even when I play with a good rogue. 95% of clutch plays are made by the rogue and mage is basically there to assist the rogue the whole time and completly helpless by himself against any healer. GG
With that being said, arcane potency + instant spam might FINALLY give mages some decent burst damage on the move. Small chance itll make it live without a nerf but hey we can dream right? A glimpse of our pre-BC glory days.
/wish my priest mc'd more
wtb baller priest?
Lol oppo.
How can you keep being this consistently good raddy? Damnit.
I had had like 2180 lately with rogue/mage and we wanted to go for shoulders. We queued and o/c priest/lock. I started nerdraging calling my rogue bad and we ended up at 2k, 1-14 against that team. The next day my rogue left me, took a decent druid and made #1 on my bg with 0 losses :(((
dont nerdrage bro
We played against a Restokin / DPriest in week 2 for a four and a half hour game. Ended up /randoming for the win.
I do not support the double healer.
