they need to nerf df back to cast time
With Deep Freeze instant cast, im really torn between Arcane Barrage and DF. I think Arcane Barrage/fire will probably be the best spec for 2s, especially with another stunner such as a rogue while Deep Freeze will be our bread and butter spec. In short, pretty much the current situation but with both specs improved.
Deep fire looks like it could be really interesting, with Living Bomb kindof acting like a mini UA in pvp. Instant cast dot for a highly mobile class can be a dangerous combo. Combined with scorch's quick cast and extreme mana efficiency, it could be a good spec for teams that are less bursty. That is a playstyle I would like to see opened up, but it's very iffy right now.
Actually I'm pretty sure fire will be bad, but there's no point in discussing how awesome frost is (it's awesome) so I'm playing around with the thought of fire pvp. =p
