Talent Trees

Mage

There might be a few errors in those trees. Please post up corrections or better/updated links. ^^

Going to update this post with info as I see it tonight.

Fel Armor - Surrounds the caster with fel energy, increasing spell damage by up to 180 and allows 30% of your mana and health regeneration to continue while casting. Only one type of Armor spell can be active on the Warlock at any time.

VERSUS

Mage Armor - Increases your resistance to all magic by 40 and allows 30% of your mana regeneration to continue while casting. In addition, the duration of all harmful Magic effects used against you is reduced by -50%. Only one type of Armor spell can be active on the Mage at any time.

ALSO FOR MY MAGES

Note that Prismatic Cloak makes Invis Fade ONE second. Magic Attunement adds 6 yards to all your Arcane spells. Arcane Focus changed to 3 point 1% hit 1% mana reduction. Magic Absorb in that tree is incorrect and is actually 1 resist per level. So, 80 all resists at level 80 (120 with mage armor). Meh.

I was going to post up some thoughts on the changes, but I'll wait till we have a bit more info. ^^

deep fire/pom spec, think it will be pretty sick

as for deep frost, not sure if the 4 sec stun is worth trading PoM for, although in the 3 second cooldown on pom u can get 24 seconds of stun, hard decision

17/0/54 Frozen Lock Spec w/ +haste itemization. Keep your opponent kited, frozen and stunned while your pet kills him. lolfuckthisgame

damage increase on artic winds removed?

improve flamestrike now works with blastwave :)

for winters grasp, are they actually frozen in place, or are they just considered frozen so can they still move around, but are just considered "frozen" so that you can use shatter or deep freeze on them?

also deep freeze only usable on frozen targets? i guess its nice vs casters and hunters, but kinda weak with that req. maybe people will be frozen alot more with winters grasp...

and master demonologist will only give 16 resistance to locks w/ felhunters at level 80!!!

Soul Link was moved up the tree.

Soul link isn't gone, it's an 11 point talent in that tree. MD will be 80 global resist at level 80, nothing changed there.

Not that it really matters, with 10 more talent points and demonic empowerment fel guards will overtake fel hunters in popularity.

The warlock specs to worry about are not SL imo. Deep destro and deep affliction with 17 in SL will be definitely extremely strong. TBH I think locks will be too much with those current talents and fel dom probably needs to be deeper. (Sort of like how cold snap is now 21)

hahah if the 4th crit on hotstreak counts as another 3rd in a row crit...does that mean you're at 100% crit for fire until you die?

So priest viper sting, err mind rot, is baseline ability? Why even let other classes use mana anymore?

and spriest ahve to trade an 8 second fear (good a lot of the time) for a 4 second horror? which certainly is useful but i'd rather fear a rogue for 8 seconds if there's no one around to dispell it.

Nah. Psychic scream is still 8, the first four seconds just look like they will ignore fear ward and wotf.

It says MD is .2 resistance per level. 80 x .2 = 16

And wtf at soul link being 11 points.....I didn't even think to look that low. Pray to god that the 61 point destro talent doesn't work with soul fire...... Choas soul fire crits you in ice block for 14k? BALANCE

That's the first point in master demonologist, now add 4 more points.

Or:

.2 X 80 X 5 talent points = 80

It's not like it's a big deal, 80 spell penetration is easy to get at level 70.

RE: Instant unstoppable soulfires, meh this game has never been balanced. Right now WoW is all about grinding gear, queue dodging and cheesing FoTM team combinations. About the time people get fed up and start to quit Blizzard throws 10 more levels and a bunch of new talents into the mix.

Attunement now adds 6 yards to ALL arcane spells? So our CS and sheep have a 36 yard range with this talent? O.o

new mage spell recovered from thottbots beta pages:

Shatter Shield (Rank 1)
1200 Mana
Instant cast 30 sec cooldown
Instantly shields you, absorbing 2000 Physical damage. Lasts 1 min. When the shield is destroyed, all enemies within 10 yards are frozen for 8 sec.

Beware what comes out from this point forward. As was pointed out here there are idiots at work trying to spoil stuff. It's not too hard to create fake spells and submit them to Thottbot.

Fade timer is 5 seconds, and prismatic cloak is 2/2 2 sec.. 5 minus 2 is not 1. (I cant say for certain, my calculator and mom may be way off) (?) And use of frostfire is rather self-explanatory

Last night the tree said 2/2 = 4 seconds. If you look at the notes at the top of the calculator you would see it has since been corrected.

Fade timer has been reduced to 4 seconds base, it should be instant with 2/2 prismatic cloak.

I assume the point of frostfire bolt is to provide elementalist specs with their own nuke, maybe it gains from both empowered fireball, improved frostbolt, ice shards and ignite or something? I guess we'll see.

I sorta hope it acts as a scorch for frost, but I doubt it will.
