I haven't pimped any vids in a while, but if you actually care, check Shyou's vid. Noone3 is similarly pretty hot. Shyou has pretty wicked movement and it's pretty fun to watch. Seems like the ante has been upped a bit as of late in the whole fancy-BG-WE type vids.
I specced back to WE to do some ganking on The Isle and was frustrated at how mediocre I've become at playing WE well outside of arena (OR INSIDE LOL FUCK YOU HATERS). It's not exactly a demanding spec to play, but I'm not used to being proactive on cooldown use, as with 33/28 you have a lot of leniency in how/when you use CDs. Also, found mana problems to be pretty severe in sustained chains of fights, which is to some degree also true for 33/28, but not to quite the same extent. Either way, camping the intersection of the paths between Magister's Terrace and Greengill Coast is pretty satisfying and satisfies a little of the old school WoW ganking nostalgia.
I'd like to try WE with a haste setup; this has been suggested by a few people over the past few weeks, and I never thought it was terribly interesting, but I'm starting to second guess that initial reaction a bit. Dropping a fuckton of honor and gold to test it out isn't too appealing, so I think I'll let somebody else be the guinea pig; too bad there's no PTR up.
Tournament realm is still retarded fun. I wish I could play in the tournament more seriously, but I'm out of the country most of May. No, I'm not going to Ming's wedding. fuck you in the peehole. It is fucking fantastic to be able to play the race/class setup you desire whenever you want. The gear limitations are certainly better than the fuckshow that live has become, but even with S2 itemization, there's still some faggotry in how certain classes can gear themselves. HAI2U SS ROGUES.
By the way, Triple Rogue is the new FOTM. You just don't know it yet.

Still, the editing / music style was very similar (SIMILAR BECAUSE HE STOLE TECHNIQUES AND SONGS ZOMG!)

What argument did they use in favor of the haste with the WE setup? Haste seems too expensive in the budget for what you get, but who knows maybe I suck.

oppo, I'm talking in general from any Mage out there. It was not a request from the creator of the video posted, just a general comment on what you see in a number of videos. It's hard to be impressed when someone has the advantage of a extra stun and uses it very often. The video tries to show skill but much of that is erased by of the use of engineering even in duels.
I know where you're coming from, I spammed a few iron grenades back in my day and had to go without, as well.
The way I see it, engineering is a lot like a talent spec, but ANY class can pick it. People who want to be competitive in world pvp will take engineering. I suppose it's a bit cheap, but hey, one of the SL warlocks he fought used both a healthstone (legit) and a HEALTH POT. A HEALTH POT. Goddamn.
I understand that, because of engineering, not all mages can replicate some of the moves he does. But then again, DB mages cant replicate WE play...respec = train new profession. different expense, but same option.
Besides until I get my lvl 70 or 80 reflectors I'm sticking to "eng. is brokeeed~!"

For me the only things allowed in duels are things you can use in arena. But in a BG, or world PVP anything goes. I don't pot myself, because it makes me feel dirty and bad, but if you're willing to invest $$ in to honor go for it.

Imo not valid. Everybody can pot himself, even if he's not an alchemist. Using an alchemiststone would be the equivalent for that matter.
